The Living Room/Foyer

The living room is a fairly large room that is just left as you enter into the house. It has wooden columns at the entrance and double pocket doors into the dining room. The original (1906) chandelier is quite beautiful. It has crystal beads and has electric lighting as well as an optional gas feature. The large window on the North is 52 inches wide and opens pretty easily. The windows in this house all use the old counterweight system, but use chain instead of rope for longevity. A very large radiator is just below the North window for heat.
